Gabriella Cilmi keeps her clotes on :(
Aussie pop star Gabriella Cilmi says she’s learnt the hard way that the media can’t be trusted. The 18-year-old “Sweet About Me” singer is upset after British men’s’ magazine FHM digitally enhanced her breasts for her cover photo – despite the young ARIA winner believing there were plenty of saucy lingerie and topless shots on offer which didn’t need touching up.
“I think I’m happy with about three of those shots, and I would very happily use some of them as the front cover for my record, but there are some in there that I look at them and I don’t see how they related to me in any way,” Cilmi says of the controversial shoot, which she did in order to promote her second album, Ten, released last week. “They’ve given me bigger boobs … I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean. I look at them and I laugh at them, because I know that they’re not very representative of me, and who I am as a person, and what my music’s about.”
Now living in London, the Melbourne girl says she was just trying to have fun with her image, and doesn’t regret doing the shoot. “Would I do it again?” she questioned. “I don’t think so. I guess you learn not to get caught up in the same stuff, you learn for next time. It’s just bit part of being a character and getting into role-playing I guess.”
